“Our small group ended up being a private tour. Emilio was a knowledgeable tour guide for the town of Como. Unrelated to our guide, this tour was very expensive and did not include the funicular tour or more importantly a lake cruise. We did expect to hear more about the homes around the lake on this tour. On our own, we dined in a cafe overlooking the lake. It was an hour by train from Milan and depending on where you’re staying could be additional time to the train station. Lastly, instructions to meet our guide were poor. Luckily, Emilio found us!”
